Luc Verhees has been appointed Chief Clinical Officer in Approxima to lead global clinical affairs

Milan, Italy, September 9, 2026. Luc Verhees joins the Approxima leadership team to strengthen the Company’s clinical development capabilities and support the translation of its technology into the clinical development phase. As Chief Clinical Officer, he will lead global clinical affairs, clinical operations and therapy development.
Luc brings more than 30 years of experience in cardiovascular clinical research, with senior positions at leading global medtech companies including LivaNova (Sorin), Medtronic, Boston Scientific and private venture-backed companies including CoreValve, Xeltis and HighLife. Earlier this year both Highlife and Xeltis have obtained CE mark on their respective devices with Luc playing a key role in their clinical development.
